The Spearfish cycling community has long valued the trails and recreational opportunities our town offers. For years, these trails have been a source of pride for locals and joy for visitors. Recognizing the incredible potential Spearfish has for world-class trail infrastructure, a groupf of dedicated bike and trail advocates saw the need for a focused, local organization to lead this ambitious effort. Thus, the Spearfish Trails Coalition was born. 
To bring this vision to life, we partnered with International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) to adopt their comprehensive approach: access, plan, design, contract, build, promote, maintain, and evolve. This model has proven to create memorable trail experiences and bring significant economic value to communities. 
Spearfish Trails Coalition is dedicated to ensuring our town continues to grow and flourish as a premier trails destination. We are committed to assessing current opportunities, planning strategically, designing thoughtfully, and building sustainably. 
We invite you to join us on this journey. Whether you're a lifelong reticent or first-time visitor, there’s a place for you on our trails. Together, we can build on Spearfish’s legacy and celebrate the beauty and potential of our town.
